My initial inspiration came from a game I was playing called Dark Souls. It happened to have LOTS of castles so the first ideas that came into my head where from Dark Souls. I looked online and I found a 3D map viewer that showed the entire open world of the game. With this i was able to look at how the castles were designed and how they looked as it was pretty difficult to get a good perspective from
within the game.
At the moment I'm set on the idea of making a castle that is medieval themed and over exaggerated, using large brickwork. the designed will be based on English/Welsh castles from the 17th century, such as Ruperra Castle in Wales. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruperra_Castle)
